United Distributors, Inc., the largest beverage alcohol distributor in Georgia and Alabama, announced the promotion of David Shoulberg to Chief Revenue Officer of its Georgia business.
Shoulberg began his tenure at United in 1995 as a manager of the Draft Beer Division and has held multiple roles of increasing responsibility since then, including On Premise Territory Manager and General Manager of the On-Premise Division. For the past 12 years, Shoulberg has been the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, overseeing all sales and marketing campaigns and efforts throughout the State of Georgia.
“The contributions and commitment that David Shoulberg has made to our suppliers, our retail partners, and our associates are countless. There is nobody with more dedication for our people and our brands than David,” said Michael Hertz, United’s President & COO.
“David has been successful in every role he has undertaken in his almost 30 years at United. His ability to lead and motivate the team is unmatched and I could not think of a better leader to serve as our Chief Revenue Officer,” said Pete Moraitakis, Vice Chairman at United.
In addition to his professional accolades, Shoulberg was the creative inspiration behind Spin for Kids, a group cycle ride benefiting Camp Twin Lakes. Spin for Kids has raised nearly $10 million since 2005, helping provide life-changing camp experiences for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, or other life challenges.
Shoulberg is also an elite athlete, with four Ironman competitions under his belt. Always up for his next challenge, he will be competing at the Ironman World Championship later this month in Kona, Hawaii.
“David's commitment and contribution to our company and the community are incredible,” said Doug Hertz, Chairman and CEO of United Distributors, Inc. “His energy and passion both professionally and personally are admirable and inspiring. I’m looking forward to David leading United in this new role.”
