Made possible through a Community Assistantship Program grant, the data will be utilized to address housing and community development goals.

    Southeastern Credit Union has received the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award from Georgia Credit Union Affiliates for the Fill-a-Truck for Hunger Food Drive. Southeastern will go on to compete at the national level for the Credit Union National Association’s Social Responsibility Award in the $50 to $250 million asset category.

    The Georgia Department of Labor announced today that Metro Valdosta’s unemployment rate for July was 5.4 percent, down three-tenths of a percentage point from 5.7 percent in June. The rate in July 2015 was 6.6 percent.
