I'm Austin Turner with Turner Furniture, and we have nine locations in South Georgia. We're in Albany, Tifton, Valdosta, Moultrie, and Thomasville. As everybody knows, we've been going through this tough economy over the last several years. But our company has done well during that time, and I think for a lot of reasons, but one is that our people are just committed to making things work at our company and doing what it takes to get the job done.

We've been fortunate that we've been able to work through this time. We have not laid anybody off. We have not had any layoffs at our company. We have had some jobs where someone has left and we have not replaced that position, but we have not laid anybody off, and we've still been able to remain profitable during that time. So I think that's just a tremendous accomplishment that could not be done without the dedication of our people that are willing to step up and put forth the extra effort to do whatever it takes to make the company successful. With the way that things look now, it seems like we're in the new normal and it's just the way it's going to be, for several more years, and I have confidence that we're going to be able to maintain our level of performance and keep going because of the great people that we have.

I think one great thing about our company is that we offer such a broad range, with our budget stores and our fine‑furniture stores. Even during the conditions that we're in now in the economy, we've still been able to have customers at both stores, and both stores have stayed about the same percentage of our total business. In each store, we've really strived to go out there and find the best values we can, buy as good as we can, get the cost as low as we can and pass that on to our customers, and I think that's contributed to our business staying as good as it has.

I would like to encourage you, if you're in the market for furniture, to come visit us at one of our nine locations, or online at TurnerFurniture.com.
