The SGMC Health Summer Volunteen Program provides an immersive experience, allowing students to observe and engage with healthcare professionals across various departments. From witnessing the daily prioritization of patient care to gaining insight into the administrative support that lays the foundation for customer service success, participants will embark on a journey toward understanding the ultimate goal of patient-centered care. 

Selected participants will commit to two shifts per week, totaling four hours per day, between June 10 and July 26. The program not only grants Volunteens exposure to medical and administrative environments but also allows them to earn valuable volunteer experience, enriching their future academic and professional pursuits.

"By empowering young minds to explore the vastness of the healthcare environment, we hope to inspire a legacy of compassionate service and innovation within our community." 

The Volunteen program is open to rising ninth through twelfth graders with a B or higher grade point average. Applications must be completed by May 1, 2024.
