Moody AFB Limits Base Access

Staff Report From Valdosta CEO

Tuesday, April 7th, 2020

In conjunction with executive orders from state and local government, effective April 7, 2020, Moody AFB will limit base access on Tuesday and Thursday of each week, only granting access to: Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard members who work on Moody AFB and their respective dependents. DoD civilians and contractors will also retain access if they fall under the base’s essential missions as directed by their unit leadership.

Those who do not meet the aforementioned criteria (retirees, disabled veterans and other individuals previously been entitled to base access privileges) will not be permitted on base for any reason to include visiting the Commissary, Base Exchange, or military personnel services on Tuesday and Thursday of each week.

This limitation is one of the many measures MAFB continues to take to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our Airmen, families and community. We are committed to bringing the benefits and customer service functions back online as safely and as quickly as we can.
