The Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting for Highland Christian Academy to celebrate their relocation.

Highland Christian Academy is a college preparatory school that provides education for K5 through 12th grade and is accredited with quality by the Georgia Accreditation Commission. They provide dual enrollment courses and Georgia Independent School Association sports programs. In addition, Highland Christian Academy offers senior internships with the purpose of educating with excellence and instilling Christ-like character.

Highland Christian Academy started out as Southland Christian School in 1999 and was housed in the Southland Church Building. In 2012, they changed their name to Highland Christian Academy and rented the space in the church building. After experiencing growth, they purchased the old Pine Grove grounds and building for its larger facilities. The school hopes to continue to grow as they renovate the old abandoned facility and plan to add several new features, including sports fields and an arts program.

The school now has open enrollment and their fall semester begins August 3rd. For more information about Highland Christian Academy, call (229) 245-8111, or visit them at 4023 Pine Grove Rd. Go online to hcvaldosta.org to learn more about registration and admission procedures.
