GDOL to Host Veterans Career Expo in Valdosta

More than 50 employers will be recruiting to fill a number of jobs at the Veterans Spring Career Expo in Valdosta on Thursday, March 10.

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Valdosta Career Center will host the expo from 1-4 p.m. at the career center located at 221 South Ashley St.

Employers who have already registered for the expo are ADAMA, Albany Police Department, Ambassador Personnel, Berrien County Board of Education, City of Valdosta, Coastal Plain Area EOA, Convergys, DeKalb County Police Department, Disabled Veterans of America, Drury Inn and Suites, ECG, Edward Jones, Elead1One, Express Employment, Fed Ex Freight, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Florida Department of Corrections, Flight Safety International, Florida Highway Patrol, Flowers Baking Company, Frost Virtual Solutions, Georgia Driving Academy, Georgia Military College, Goodwill Industries, Logistics Services International, Lowe’s and MARTA.  

Also, the Mayo Clinic Health System, Media Com Communications, New Hire Solutions, Norfolk Southern Corporation, Papa John’s Pizza, Park University, Phoebe Putney Health System, Reinhart Food Service, Rescare Home Care, Sam’s Club, Southern Regional Technical College, Target, Team Calibre, Team Temps, Telamon Corporation, The Hughston Clinic, Valdosta Fire Department, Valdosta State University, Valdosta VA Clinic, Valdosta Police Department, WB&T BankShares, Wellcare of Georgia, Wendy’s, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, Yancey Brothers Company, and the U.S. Social Security Administration.

While the event is designed for veterans and their families, it is open to the public. Applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately and bring copies of their resume.
