Smith Drug Company will sponsor a two-man scramble golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 25, at Stone Creek Golf Club in Valdosta. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Lowndes County. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with a 1 p.m. start time. Cost is $75 per person.

The CAC is a community resource center that works with children to minimize the trauma of abuse by providing immediate and long-term assistance in a child-friendly, safe environment.

“Smith Drug Company believes in giving back to the community and supporting our local organizations,” said Laura Fitch, Human Resource Coordinator with Smith Drug Company. “Valdosta has a wonderful asset with the CAC which provides abused children with an environment that is safe and the interest of the child is always first.  We are pleased to sponsor this golf tournament to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center and their effort to minimize the trauma of children who are abused.”
