The City of Valdosta and the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority in partnership with Valdosta City Schools, Valdosta State University, and Wiregrass Technical College invite you to learn about the state-wide initiative Great Promise Partnership and meet the great students participating from Valdosta High School

Join us for GPP’s Work for the Future event at 3pm on October 28th at Valdosta City Hall Annex, 216 E. Central Avenue, Valdosta.

We all understand the importance of a well-trained and motivated workforce. The Valdosta community has come together as a team to coach-up our youth with the fundamentals of success. We need you on our team! As business owners you are essential to making Valdosta a Marquee Community by providing opportunities for our over-coming youth which in turn produces a pipeline of well-trained, motivated employees for your business.

As members of the Valdosta GPP Business team you have several options:  1) Establish a GPP worksite using the successful process pioneered by Southwire Company that provides both profit for you and benefit for our youth. 2) Help with the "blocking and tackling" fundamentals of life skills and mentoring. 3) Provide financial support to help with logistics. In choosing one or all of these options, you will be part of implementing the solution to keeping our youth in school, building a bridge to success and creating a skilled workforce for your community.

Please visit our website and see some great heart-warming stories of over-coming youth and read great articles from Forbes Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the AJC. (www.gppartnership.org)
