Valdosta’s Parrish Clark Installed as President of GBA’s Leadership Executive Committee

A. Parrish Clark Jr., executive vice president of Guardian Bank, Valdosta has been elected by his peers in the state as president of the Leadership GBA Executive Committee for the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA).

Created in 1958, Leadership GBA is committed to developing the future leaders of the banking industry.  The goals of the program are to promote leadership development, educate the public about banking, create networking opportunities and provide bankers with the opportunity for involvement in the legislative process.  

"Parrish is a strong leader and great banker, and we're fortunate to have someone of his caliber serving in a leadership role for our Association," said Joe Brannen, GBA president and CEO.    

Clark has been active in the GBA since 1999. He has previously served as a GBA Group officer and on the GBA Nominating Committee. He currently serves as the Leadership GBA representative on the GBA Board of Directors. 

Clark received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University and his Master’s of Business Administration from Valdosta State University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. 

Clark serves on the Board of Trustees for the Valdosta State University Foundation and the Georgia United Methodist Foundation. He has been active in the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce and has previously served on the board of The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County and the Greater Valdosta United Way.  Clark was a member of the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2006.
