Colony Bank today announced that Jud Moritz has joined the Company as Quitman Market President.

With 22 years of banking experience, Moritz is a seasoned professional who has held several key roles throughout his career.  For 13 years, he served as Senior Vice President, Valdosta Market President at The First Bank, following their merger with Southwest Georgia Bank. Prior to this, he served as a Commercial Loan Officer from 2005-2010 at Park Avenue Bank and held a similar position with Regions Bank from 2001-2005. 

Commenting on the announcement, Mike Davis, President, Community Banking, said, “We are excited to welcome Jud as our Quitman Market President. Jud has built an outstanding career and reputation, and his experience will be valuable in assisting customers with their commercial banking needs. In addition to his extensive experience, he also has first-hand knowledge of the banking needs of the business community as a long-time resident. We look forward to working with Jud to strengthen the relationships we have and services we provide to Quitman and surrounding markets.”

Moritz is a Valdosta native and has two sons with his wife, Anna.  He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia. Moritz is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
