SGMC's Bob Foster Receives Hospital IT Executive of the Year Award

Health Connect Partners, Inc., a healthcare education firm, recently announced that Bob Foster is the recipient of the company’s 2015 Hospital Information Technology Executive of the Year Award. 

Foster, chief information officer at South Georgia Medical Center was presented the award by David Mason, chief executive officer of HCP at the company’s 2015 Spring Hospital & Healthcare IT Conference held at the Renaissance Sea World in Orlando, Florida.

Recipients of the Hospital IT Executive of the Year Award must demonstrate proven leadership in their facility, as well as the hospital IT industry, and prove their ability to implement cutting edge technology that improves the patient care experience and patient safety.

“Bob is a proven leader in the hospital IT industry and we have been honored to have him serve as the board chairman of our Educational Advisory Committee for the past two years,” said Nelson Hendry, president of HCP.  “He has been an asset to our organization and we are proud to present him with this award.”

Foster, a United States Army Veteran, has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 27 years and served as a hospital CIO for more than a decade.
