Coleman Talley LLP delivered the goods in the 2014 Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, providing 87,640 pounds of food – double its poundage in 2013 – and winning the medium firm size category for the third straight year. Attorney General Sam Olens announced the results last week of the third annual food drive in which lawyers and staff compete outside the courtroom for two weeks to raise food and funds for Georgia's seven regional food banks.

The 2014 Georgia Legal Food Frenzy raised the equivalent of 1,140,627 points of food, a 36 percent increase over last year. Since its inception in 2012, the competition has raised the equivalent of 2.5 million pounds of food. Coleman Talley is one of 16 firms and offices participating in the region served by Second Harvest of South Georgia.

"We are excited to be part of such a life-changing effort. It is truly fulfilling to know that our work will bring positive outcomes in the lives of others," said Coleman Talley LLP Partner and Second Harvest of South Georgia Board Member Bill Holland.

"We attribute our success to the hard work and contributions from the partners and employees of our firm. In addition, we extend our sincerest thanks to those in the business community who joined our efforts to make this a huge success."

Founded in 1937, Coleman Talley has 34 attorneys with offices in Valdosta and Atlanta. The firm has a sophisticated commercial practice area servicing commercial real estate and construction needs, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, affordable housing transactions and municipal law. Coleman Talley is also one of the largest defense litigation firms in South Georgia and was named one of the Top Ranked Law Firms in the U.S. by Martindale-Hubbell in 2013 and 2014.

Since early 2013, the firm has added seven lawyers to its practice to serve additional work in the areas of government and municipal law, affordable housing, and commercial transactions and real estate. Most recently, Coleman Talley announced attorney Brett McNeill joined the firm's Atlanta office. He focuses his practice on renewable energy, private equity, business planning, entity formation, and commercial construction.
