SGMC Health announces the promotion of Mary Newberry to the new role of Director of Scheduling and Network Authorization, recognizing her dedication, leadership, and commitment to improving patient access across the health system.

Newberry will oversee system scheduling operations for SGMC Health and authorization services for the SGMC Health Physician Network, helping ensure patients receive timely, convenient care.

Since joining SGMC Health in 2021 as a Registration Clerk supporting General and Plastic Surgery, Newberry has steadily advanced through the organization, building extensive expertise in scheduling, registration, and authorization services.

“I am honored to step into this role and continue serving our patients and teams in a greater capacity,” said Newberry. “Scheduling and authorization services play an important role in helping patients receive the care they need when they need it, and I look forward to supporting that mission across our health system.”

Outside of work, Newberry enjoys spending time with her wife, Kristi, their two children, and two grandchildren.
