SGMC Health recognized Tradessa Ellis, patient care technician on 5T, as the July recipient of the Being Extraordinary Everyday (BEE) Award, which honors non-nursing staff who demonstrate exceptional compassion, dedication, and service to patients and fellow team members. 

Ellis is known for the genuine care she brings to every patient interaction. A coworker nominated Ellis for the award, describing her as someone who takes great pride in her work and gives her full effort every day. According to the nomination, she is attentive to the details that make a difference in a patient’s experience and is always willing to go the extra mile to provide comfort and assistance when needed. 

In addition to her commitment to patient care, Ellis is recognized for her positive attitude and the kindness she extends to those around her. She treats patients and coworkers alike with compassion and respect, helping create a welcoming environment built on teamwork and human kindness. 

The nominator shared, “Tradessa takes great pride in the care she provides to every patient, and it shows in everything she does. Whether assisting with daily care, helping patients move comfortably, or simply offering a kind smile and encouraging words, she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her patients feel cared for, respected, and comfortable.”
