Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County Welcomes New Executive Director, Dr. Tammie Patterson

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tammie Patterson as its new Executive Director, effective July 13, 2026.
Dr. Patterson brings more than 30 years of experience in school social services, child advocacy, and community leadership to the role. Throughout her distinguished career, she has worked tirelessly to support children and families, build collaborative partnerships, and advocate for services that strengthen communities and improve outcomes for vulnerable youth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Patterson to the Children’s Advocacy Center,” said Board Chair, Logan Schunhoff. “Her leadership, expertise, and passion for protecting and supporting children align perfectly with our mission. We are confident Dr. Patterson will build on our strong foundation and help expand our reach within the community.”
The Children’s Advocacy Center plays a critical role in providing a safe, child-focused environment where children who have experienced abuse can receive coordinated services. Through advocacy, forensic interviews, family support services, and collaborative partnerships, the CAC works to promote healing, hope, and justice for children and families across the region.
