Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Earns Re-Accreditation from National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships
Wednesday, June 10th, 2026
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College has earned re-accreditation from the
National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP), reaffirming the college's commitment to providing high-quality dual enrollment opportunities for high school students throughout South Georgia.
Wiregrass was one of 12 institutions nationwide to receive re-accreditation during NACEP's 2025-2026 accreditation cycle. The recognition places Wiregrass among an elite group of colleges and universities that have demonstrated continued excellence in concurrent enrollment programs and adherence to nationally recognized standards.
NACEP is the nation's only accrediting body dedicated specifically to concurrent enrollment partnerships. Accreditation signifies that a college has met rigorous standards related to faculty qualifications, course content, student learning outcomes, and program oversight, ensuring that high school students earn college credit through programs that maintain the same academic quality as courses offered on campus.
"Maintaining NACEP accreditation reflects Wiregrass Georgia Technical College's ongoing commitment to providing students with meaningful, high-quality educational opportunities," said President DeAnnia Clements, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. "Our Dual Enrollment program allows students to begin their college journey early while earning credits that support their future educational and career goals. We are proud to continue meeting the highest national standards for concurrent enrollment."
NACEP re-accreditation reflects the strong partnerships we have built with our high schools and the commitment of our faculty and staff to student success," said Brooke Jaramillo, Executive Director of High School Services at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. "Our goal is to ensure that every Dual Enrollment student receives a true college experience with the same academic rigor, support, and opportunities available to all Wiregrass students. This recognition validates the quality of our program and reinforces our commitment to helping students confidently take their next steps toward college and career success."
To achieve re-accreditation, Wiregrass completed a comprehensive self-study and peer-review process demonstrating compliance with NACEP's 16 national standards. Re-accredited institutions must provide evidence of continuous improvement and ongoing program quality across multiple areas, including curriculum alignment, instructor support, student services, and program evaluation.
Through its Dual Enrollment program, Wiregrass partners with high schools across its 11-county service area to provide students with access to college-level coursework while they are still in high school. These opportunities help students accelerate degree completion, reduce future college costs, and gain valuable career and technical education experience.
According to NACEP, only 136 programs across 132 institutions nationwide currently hold accreditation, highlighting the distinction and significance of Wiregrass's achievement.
NACEP will recognize newly accredited and re-accredited institutions during its 2026 National Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
