The annual program provides students with structured, hands-on experience across multiple areas of the health system, including clinical units, imaging services, and administrative departments. Throughout the summer, participants assist staff, observe daily operations, and interact with patients and visitors, gaining insight into the delivery of care in a hospital setting. In addition to these learning experiences, the contributions of Volunteens provide meaningful support to hospital operations.

This impact is reflected in the program's growing reach. In 2025, Volunteens contributed a total of 3,025 service hours, supporting staff and enhancing the experience for patients and visitors.

Through their involvement, students strengthen communication and teamwork skills while exploring potential career paths. Many participants complete the program with a greater understanding of healthcare systems and an increased interest in pursuing medical or service-oriented professions.
