SGMC Health welcomes Ashley Cooper as Director of Organizational Learning and Development. In this position, she will lead efforts within Education Services to support workforce productivity and strengthen leadership across the health system. 
 
Through her work, Cooper will guide initiatives that enhance leader and workforce effectiveness, including SGMC Health University, while aligning employees around SGMC Health’s values and building a culture of shared learning. By partnering with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters, she will support the development of programs that address departmental needs, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and align with SGMC Health’s strategic priorities. 
 
Cooper brings extensive experience in leadership development, employee engagement, and talent growth. She began her career at Valdosta State University before advancing into Employee and Organizational Development in the education and non-profit sectors, focusing on workplace culture and engagement. She has also served as a leadership and executive coach for both local and national clients.

Outside of work, Cooper has been married to her husband, Ryan, for 12 years, and they have two children, Rylin (10) and Luke (4). She is a former member of the Valdosta Junior Service League.
