Wiregrass Tech Launches Summer Express Term With 8-Week Career Programs

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is helping students fast-track their future with the launch of the Summer Express Term beginning Tuesday, June 2. Designed for students looking to quickly gain workforce-ready skills, the accelerated term allows students to complete select certificate programs in as little as eight weeks. 

The Summer Express Term offers short-term training opportunities in several high-demand career fields, including: 

·         Construction  

·         Commercial Truck Driving  

·         Flux Cored Arc Welder  

·         Electrical Lineworker  

·         Emergency Medical Technician  

·         Certified Nurse Aide  

·         Phlebotomy  

·         Criminal Justice Fundamentals  

·         Supervisory/Management Specialist  

·         Web and Mobile App Development  

·         Child Development Associate Preparation  

In addition to the accelerated course schedule, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is waiving application fees throughout the entire month of June, giving prospective students an opportunity to apply for free.

The first day of class for the Summer Express Term is Tuesday, June 2, and the last day to add classes is June 9. Students interested in beginning classes later in the year are also encouraged to apply now for Fall Semester.
