AT&T has made a $25,000 community investment to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia to assist with relief efforts for communities impacted by the wildfires in Brantley and Wayne Counties.

In addition to this community investment, AT&T employee volunteers participated in Second Harvest’s food packing event to provide food and supplies for residents impacted by the wildfires. Employees packed more than 200 food kits for Second Harvest to distribute to the community.

“In times of crisis, access to food and basic necessities becomes even more critical for families already facing uncertainty. We appreciate AT&T’s support through this investment and employee volunteerism as we work to provide relief to communities impacted by the wildfires in Southeast Georgia,” said Miriam Langley, Chief Executive Officer, Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. “Partnerships like this help ensure our neighbors have the resources they need today while we continue supporting recovery and rebuilding efforts.”

In addition to community support, AT&T provided response during the wildfires to support first responders and public safety's communications needs with FirstNet®, the nation's public safety network. The FirstNet Response Operations Group™ (ROG) was on the ground with deployable assets to support emergency communications.

“During the wildfire response in Brantley County, our teams relied on strong communications to coordinate across public safety agencies and adapt quickly to changing conditions on the ground,” said Dylan Towne, E911 Director, Brantley County. “AT&T’s support through FirstNet played an important role in helping first responders remain connected and informed while they worked to keep our communities safe.”

“At AT&T, our hearts remain with the families and communities affected by the devastating wildfires in Southeast Georgia,” said Riley Blount, president, AT&T Georgia. “In moments like these, staying connected and supporting one another is essential. We are honored to stand alongside Second Harvest to serve our neighbors in need.”
