SGMC Health Enhances Hip Replacement Surgery with IntelliJoint® HIP Technology

SGMC Health is advancing orthopedic surgical care in South Georgia with the utilization of IntelliJoint® HIP, an advanced technology used during hip replacement surgery by orthopedic surgeon Anthony D’Abarno, DO.
Hip replacement surgery is one of the most common joint procedures performed in the United States, and hospitals nationwide are increasingly using technology to support greater accuracy during surgery.
IntelliJoint HIP is used during surgery to provide real‑time information that helps surgeons more accurately position the new hip joint. This allows adjustments to be made while the procedure is underway, based on each patient’s body, rather than relying only on visual judgment, which can improve balance, comfort, and movement after surgery.
