SGMC Health is expanding access to high‑quality rehabilitation care with the opening of its new Outpatient Therapy Services clinic in Valdosta. Located at 4274 N. Valdosta Rd., Suite B, the clinic will serve patients across South Georgia seeking specialized, clinic‑based rehabilitation.

The new location further strengthens SGMC Health’s full continuum of rehabilitation services, which spans from acute therapy in the hospital setting, to inpatient rehabilitation for longer‑term functional loss, to outpatient therapy for ongoing recovery. It also complements the existing satellite outpatient therapy clinic at SGMC Health Lanier in Lakeland, expanding reach and care continuity across the region.

Outpatient rehabilitation is provided to patients who are able to travel to a clinic for therapy sessions. After receiving a physician referral, patients undergo a comprehensive evaluation followed by treatment tailored to their individual goals. SGMC Health’s trained therapists treat a wide range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions and provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Bryant Alonso, Director of Acute & Outpatient Therapy Services, says the expansion helps ensure patients can continue their rehabilitation journey without interruption. “By expanding outpatient therapy access in Valdosta, we are strengthening the continuity of care within our health system,” he said. “Patients can transition seamlessly from hospital‑based care or inpatient rehabilitation into outpatient therapy, all within SGMC Health, ensuring consistency and support every step of the way.”
