Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, February 24th, 2026

SGMC Health has relocated SGMC Orthopedics to a brand new, expanded location at 2310 N. Patterson St., Suite B, in Valdosta, enhancing access to comprehensive orthopedic care for patients across South Georgia.

The new clinic offers a modern, patient‑focused environment designed to support a wide range of orthopedic needs—from everyday joint pain to advanced surgical care. The practice is led by a team of experienced physicians, including Rehan Dawood, DO, specializing in sports medicine; Anthony D’Abarno, DO, specializing in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee; Kevin Keith, DO, an orthopedic trauma surgeon; and John Kendrick, MD, specializing in joint replacement, fracture care, and sports medicine. The care team also includes Amanda Gray, NP, who supports patients through evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing orthopedic care.

SGMC Orthopedics provides care for a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, including joint replacement and arthritis care, injury and trauma services, minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures, and non‑operative orthopedic treatments such as injections, bracing, and therapy. Surgeries are performed at SGMC Health’s Main and Smith Northview hospitals in Valdosta, ensuring continuity of care within the health system. On‑site X‑ray services support timely diagnosis and treatment planning, allowing many patients to receive imaging and care in one convenient location. Care plans are tailored to each patient’s needs—whether surgical, rehabilitative, or conservative—to support recovery and long‑term mobility.

This relocation aligns with SGMC Health’s continued investment in unequalled access to coordinated specialty care. Earlier this month, SGMC Outpatient Therapy Services opened a new Valdosta location, further strengthening the continuum of care for orthopedic patients by expanding access to physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Later this Summer, the system will welcome an additional orthopedic specialist.

Patients can schedule appointments by calling 229‑433‑3164, and walk‑ins are welcome.
