SGMC Health Earns Four DANDA Awards for Excellence in Healthcare Marketing

SGMC Health's marketing and brand experience team was recently honored with four DANDA Awards for outstanding creative projects that elevate patient and community engagement.
The DANDA Awards, a semiannual program celebrating excellence in healthcare marketing, utilizes a panel of industry professionals to evaluate submissions from around the world based on design, aesthetics, and production values.
SGMC Health received a Gold Award for its FY24 Annual Report Microsite, which served as a dynamic year-in-review for fiscal year 2024. This interactive online report offers an in-depth look at SGMC Health’s initiatives, achievements, and powerful patient stories, highlighting how the organization continues to shape the healthcare experience for South Georgia and North Florida.
A Silver Award was presented for the Groundbreaking Growth Landing Page, a visually engaging digital experience that provides an inside look at SGMC Health’s historic $150 million main campus expansion. The page showcases plans for a state-of-the-art Women & Infants Tower, a new emergency department and trauma center, and a reimagined hospital entrance, along with a wellness park designed to promote holistic care and community well-being.
The organization also earned two Silver Awards for its podcast, What Brings You in Today?—one for its cover art and another for Episode 21 featuring Eli Metts, Nurse Practitioner with Hospice of South Georgia. This heartfelt conversation explores the realities of hospice care, breaking down misconceptions and highlighting the compassion and expertise required to support patients at the end of life. Metts shares what it’s really like to care for patients during their final days, discusses how Hospice of South Georgia serves patients regardless of ability to pay, and offers listeners a deeply human perspective on dignity and care.
These projects were produced in collaboration with Instrumental Group (formerly Ascend Strategy + Design) and reflect SGMC Health’s dedication to creating meaningful experiences that connect with patients and families.
