Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Ga., announced plans today for a major expansion set to open in 2025. The new Water’s Edge will feature three new rides, new animal habitats, new dining options and live entertainment.

“This expansion represents another step forward in our commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests and their families at Wild Adventures,” said Jon Vigue, vice president and general manager. “Opening in 2025, Water’s Edge creates new ways for families to gather and play. This new area will transform a large section of Wild Adventures into a vibrant, colorful and immersive environment designed to appeal to guests of all ages and provides us with a space to continue to improve and grow our fall and winter events into the future.”

Water’s Edge will include three new family-friendly rides: the Horizon Wheel, a reimagined, illuminated Ferris wheel providing panoramic views; the Wing Swinger, a soaring family swing ride; and The Boat Parade, a gliding and bouncing speedboat-themed ride. These additions aim to offer thrilling yet accessible experiences for both kids and adults.

Beyond rides, the expansion will introduce new animal habitats, providing interactive opportunities for education and exploration. Guests can look forward to encounters with brilliantly colored macaws and a new reptile house.

“We’re excited to introduce new ways for families to gather, play and learn,” said Vigue. “Guests can enjoy live music and performances at our new lakeside entertainment stage, relax with a meal at one of our new eateries or simply soak up the atmosphere. There will always be something to see and do at Water’s Edge.”

New food and beverage options will allow families to recharge while exploring the park. In addition, Wild Adventures will introduce new centrally located bathrooms, and its first Quiet Room, a sensory-friendly space designed to provide a calming environment for guests with sensory sensitivities.

“These new additions are proof that Water’s Edge is more than just new attractions,” Vigue added. “It’s about continuing the mission that has driven Wild Adventures for more than 25 years. It’s about bringing families closer together and giving them a place to escape, recharge and reconnect.”

In addition to Water’s Edge, Wild Adventures also announced an expansion of its biggest holiday event, Wild Adventures Christmas Wild & Bright. New for 2024, the event will feature new light-up attractions: Twinkling Timbers, Glimmer Grove, and Woodland Outpost, along with returning favorites such as the Candy Cane Express, Wonder Walk, and The Carol of The Animals Lake Show.

“Wild Adventures Christmas Wild & Bright will be our biggest holiday celebration yet,” said Vigue. “If you missed out last year, you won’t want to make that mistake again this year. It’s going to be big, bright and unforgettable.”

Wild Adventures Season Passes for the 2025 Season are now available. With a 2025 Season Pass, guests can visit through the rest of 2024 and all of 2025.
