The Lowndes County Board of Commissioners and Miller Hardware Company are excited to announce the upcoming Concert on the Lawn, set to take place at the Historic Lowndes County Courthouse lawn, located at 100 East Central Ave in Downtown Valdosta, on the First Friday of October. This special event is free and open to the public and will feature live music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 4.

Guests are welcome to bring their own dinner or explore a range of dining options from local restaurants in Downtown Valdosta, many of which offer food and beverages to enhance the evening. Onsite food will also be available for purchase from Downtown Social and Jessie’s Restaurant and Catering. 

The Concert on the Lawn will showcase the talented Blues Factor Band, known for their electrifying live performances that feature a mix of Classic Rock, Motown, Funk, and R&B hits from across the decades.

“Lowndes County is excited to host a First Friday concert for our community on the lawn of the Historic Lowndes County Courthouse,” said Meghan Barwick, Public Information Officer for Lowndes County. "This event provides a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to gather, enjoy live music, support local businesses, and appreciate the beauty of our Historic Courthouse in the heart of Downtown."

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and unwind in downtown Valdosta.
