Wiregrass Tech Medical Assisting Students Participate in Pinning Ceremony

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Medical Assisting students received their pins in a recent pinning ceremony on the Valdosta Campus.  The pinning ceremony marks the official transition from student to professional Medical Assistant.  It is a symbolic welcoming into the profession where students are doing what they have been called to do.  Students receiving their pins include Nilja Brown, Valdosta; Autumn Grier, Valdosta; Kentrayl Middleton, Valdosta; Sharon O’Neal, Lake Park; April Parker, Hahira; Treasia Sturrup, Valdosta; and Victoria Wilcox, Sparks.

The student speaker was Nilja Brown.  These students also graduated from the program and participated in the 2024 Spring and Summer Commencement ceremony held on July 11 at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center.

The Medical Assisting program is offered on the Valdosta Campus. New students are being accepted now for the program for Fall Semester, classes start August 12. Apply in person at the One-Stop Center or online at wiregrass.edu.
