Victory North Hosts Peoples Festival: A Tribute to Bob Marley on September 21st

Victory North Savannah, 2603 Whitaker Street, welcomes the inaugural Peoples Festival Tribute to Bob Marley on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The courtyard festivities begin at 3pm, for a $10 donation (children 10 and under enter free). The courtyard events include family friendly activities, food vendors, arts & crafts and African & steel drumming. Enjoy the sounds of Wilmington, Delaware's own DJ Prez, Lena Aura, Gwapstarr and Savannah's own Xulu Prophet Band. 

The Peoples Festival ticketed indoor concert runs from 7pm-11pm with general admission and VIP admission options. The indoor concert lineup features Grammy-nominated reggae star Etana, Kenyatta Hill with Culture, Reggae Lou & The Kind Budz, and the rocking sound systems featuring DJ Crossfire, and Savannah's own DJ JamalGenny Pitts, Peoples Festival founder, says, "Following our successful Bob Marley Birthday Bash on Tybee Island, this September event promises even more with world-class reggae acts, rocking sound systems, and a vibrant atmosphere of Unity, One Love, and Positive Vibes."

The Peoples Festival was founded in 1994 in Wilmington, Delaware by Ibis and Genny Pitts. Pitts says, "The Tribute to Bob Marley honors our promise to our good friend Cedella Marley Booker to keep Bob's legacy of Peace, One Love, Equal Rights and Justice alive."
