Harlem Globetrotters Share Skills with South Georgia Kids Legendary Team Performs at Wild Adventures Through Sunday
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024
On Friday, Wild Adventures Theme Park welcomed a group of children from Holistically Anchored, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mental health resources to underserved populations in South Georgia, for a special meeting with the Original Harlem Globetrotters.
The Globetrotters, who are performing at Wild Adventures through July 7, took time out from their practice to share basketball tips, demonstrate their legendary skills, and sign basketballs for the excited young visitors.
The children had the unique opportunity to meet three members of the Harlem Globetrotters, Bull, Sunshine and Sky, who inspired them with their incredible basketball prowess and positive messages.
“We are thrilled to have hosted some of the children supported by Holistically Anchored. They are doing incredible work supporting the communities that surround Wild Adventures, and it was really rewarding to see the joy on the kids' faces as they got to meet Harlem Globetrotters today,” said Madison Tucker, social media coordinator. “This visit is a great example of our commitment to giving back to our community and supporting initiatives that provide valuable resources to those in our area."
The Harlem Globetrotters continue their Summer Skills Showcase performances at Wild Adventures through July 7 as part of the park’s Celebrate America Festival. The performances are free with park admission or a Season Pass.
