Valdosta City Schools is thrilled to announce the creation of its inaugural cohort of Aspiring Principal Leaders.  This program is a testament to our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing opportunities for emerging leaders to flourish. As a school system, we believe in the power of investing in leadership development to create a positive impact on the educational experience of our students.  Following a highly competitive selection process, ten individuals were chosen to play a transformative role in the evolution of educational practices within our school system.  Each leader possesses exceptional commitment, innovation, and leadership potential within our educational community.

VCS Superintendent Dr. Craig Lockhart and Director of Leadership Development Dr. Janice Richardson presented each member of the inaugural cohort with their official acceptance certificates during surprise visits to their schools.  Included are:

Stephen Crosby of Sallas Mahone Elementary School

Dr. Christie Earle of W.G. Nunn Elementary School

Latashia Gosier of Valdosta Middle School

Jarred Hart of Valdosta High School

Travis Lewis of W.G. Nunn Elementary School

Kendrick Moody of Valdosta High School

Valerie Smith of Valdosta Middle School

Ditranna Walker of Valdosta Middle School
