Ellen Hill, Main Street Manager of the City of Valdosta, has been elected to serve as the Georgia Downtown Association (GDA) Vice President for 2021. Hill has served on the GDA Board since 2017 and has served on several committees during that time, most recently the Education Committee, with a dedication to the Mentor/Mentee Program.
Hill excitedly accepts her new role and is eager to get to work. "It is an honor to be elected by my peers to serve as the Vice President of the Georgia Downtown Association. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the GDA Board to encourage the development of downtowns across the state," said Hill.
With a membership of more than 150 downtown professionals, the Georgia Downtown Association (GDA) is a non-profit association that promotes the economic redevelopment of Georgia's traditional downtowns. Through advocacy, education, and marketing, GDA works to focus the public's attention on downtown's value. GDA is an independent association that supports both public and private sector efforts to enhance Georgia's downtowns.
