Valdosta City Council Meeting
Jun 11, 2020
5:30 PM
Council Chambers
The Mayor and the members of the City Council invite and encourage citizens to attend City Council meetings whenever possible because good government depends on the interest and involvement of citizens. City Council meetings are held on the first and third Thursday following the first Sunday of the month, although changes may be necessary to avoid conflict with holidays. All City Council meetings are open to the general public.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this council meeting will also be live streamed on the City of Valdosta's Facebook Page and Website.
In an effort to meet social distancing requirements, any citizens wishing to address the Mayor & Council can do so by submitting questions and/or comments to Teresa S. Bolden, City Clerk, via E-mail - [email protected], prior to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
For more information, please contact Teresa S. Bolden, City Clerk, at 229-259-3503.
Makers Market is happening THIS WEEKEND in Downtown Valdosta but at a new location! In order to do our part with social distancing we have decided to move the Market to Lee Street (Food Truck Park). This will allow our vendors to spread out more and keep everyone safe! THIS SATURDAY from 9am-1pm!
The Southbound and Northbound lanes will be closed on Country Club Drive between Williamsburg Drive to Pine Point Circle. Residents will still be able to enter/exit neighborhoods off of Country Club Drive.
Work is scheduled to be completed on by the end of the week, weather permitting.
All city facilities are now open to the public. Consistent with guidance on limiting the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing, we ask you to please communicate with our staff over the telephone and internet. Visit the City’s website at valdostacity.com for information on services, forms, or other items you need. Staff email addresses are also available online to conduct business via email.
Valdosta's response rate is now at 49.8% but we need 100%!
#DYK you can still fill out your Census, even without having received an ID in the mail? In times like these, we need federal funding allocated by Census data. Fill out your 2020 Census today at my2020census.gov!
