Ace Electric, Inc. Expanding Footprint in Lowndes County Adding 15 New Jobs

At their regularly scheduled monthly board meeting, the Valdosta Lowndes County Development Authority (VLCDA) Board of Directors voted and approved the development agreement that benefits the growth of a local existing industry.
 
Ace Electric, Inc. will expand their footprint in Valdosta-Lowndes County with additional capital investment and new jobs. Ace Electric, Inc. will build a new fabrication facility located in Westside Business Park to support their industrial and commercial customers.
 
The new facility will create 15 new jobs in Valdosta-Lowndes County, with an average wage of 18 to 20 dollars an hour. They will invest $5.5 million into the facility.
 
“Ace Electric has a rich history of being a great corporate citizen in our community and we are excited they are expanding their footprint”, said Terri Lupo, chairman of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority Board of Directors. “Not only are they making a significate capital investment, but they are adding new jobs for our residents.”
 
“We are excited to break ground and start construction on our new fabrication facility”, said Tommy Stalvey, vice president of Ace Electric, Inc. “We have long outgrown our facilities on Janet Street.  This new facility with will enable us to put our fabrication, design and engineering operations under one roof, create new jobs and significantly increase productivity in a controlled environment. “
 
“We are excited to add Ace Electric, Inc.’s expansion to the list of announcements for 2019”, said Andrea Schruijer, executive director of the Valdosta Lowndes County Development Authority.  This year, the development authority has announced over 340 new jobs with a total capital investment of approximately $174 million dollars into our community.”
