Wolfson Children’s Hospital Now Offers Pediatric Cardiology at New Children’s Specialty Center in Valdosta

Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville has opened a new children’s specialty center in Valdosta, increasing access to high-quality, outpatient pediatric cardiology care.
 
The new Wolfson Children’s Specialty Center – Valdosta is inside the Griner Medical Group Building, located at 3301 N. Oak St.
 
“We are pleased to bring our pediatric cardiology care services to the Valdosta community,” said Justin “Mac” Vining, MD, pediatric cardiologist with Wolfson Children's Specialty Services - Cardiology. “We know families are busy with work, school and activities, and our new center will make it possible for more children to receive outpatient pediatric cardiology care close to home.”
 
A South Georgia native, Dr. Vining believes in providing the best care possible to all children with congenital heart disease and rhythm disorders. He ensures the family understands their child’s cardiac condition and treatment options during appointments, and is committed to partnering with each child’s referring health care provider to ensure the best possible outcomes.
 
Dr. Vining offers consultation and outpatient appointments for children of all ages with:

Congenital heart disease

Heart rhythm disturbances

High cholesterol

High blood pressure

Wolfson Children’s Specialty Center – Valdosta provides cardiac diagnostic testing for children that is performed and interpreted by pediatric cardiac imaging specialists with Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville. These include EKGs, holter and event monitors and echocardiograms.
 
Dr. Vining also provides care at Wolfson Children’s at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, a specialty center offering access to high-quality, outpatient pediatric cardiology care in collaboration with Tallahassee Primary Care Associates.
 
A board-certified pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Vining graduated from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he completed his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship. He is on the medical staff at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
