The Georgia Department of Transportation is proposing to widen/reconstruct a portion of Lake Park Bellville Road from the Interstate 75 Exit 2 interchange to US 41/State Route 7 in Lake Park.

The public is invited to a drop-in open house to view the project and ask questions from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Lake Park Civic Center, 123 N. Essa St. There will not be a formal presentation. Members of the public will be able to submit comments on the project. Comments may also be submitted online after the open house at www.dot.ga.gov/AboutGDOT/PublicOutreach by searching for the county and project. The project would widen the road from two to four lanes with a flush center median through approximately Ocean Pond Avenue. There it would transition to a two-lane road with a flush center median. The center median would be dropped between Lane Drive and south of South Railroad Avenue. The project includes operational improvements at each intersection along the corridor.
