The Herndon Company has welcomed Tammy McLendon to its team. 

McLendon grew up in a local military family. Her father retired from Moody Air Force Base in 1983. She graduated from Valdosta High School in 1988, and from Valdosta State University in 2002 with her associate’s degree in dental hygiene becoming a registered dental hygienist practicing for more than 17 years, company representatives said.

She later became a small business owner operating two high-end antique stores for five years in Quitman.

In 2007, she was introduced to the real estate industry and saw a great opportunity to serve the public at the highest level, company representatives said.

McLendon has been active in real estate for more than 12 years and is a member of the Valdosta Board of Realtors, Home Builder’s Association, National Association of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors and South Georgia MLS, Inc., and currently serves on the South Georgia MLS board of directors.
