VSU Presents Graduate Research, Scholarship Symposium April 19th

Valdosta State University will present its 11th annual Graduate Student Research and Scholarship Symposium from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19, in the University Center Magnolia Room.
 
An elite group of 40-plus graduate students will present posters showcasing the first-class research and scholarship being conducted at VSU. These students were nominated by faculty in their various disciplines and represent the Department of Communication Arts; Department of Management and Healthcare Administration; Department of Library and Information Studies; Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Therapy; Department of Social Work; Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and Special Education; Department of Modern and Classical Languages; Department of English; and Department of Biology.
 
Ernest Smith, administrative associate in VSU’s Graduate School, said, “This year’s research is outstanding and continues to show just how dynamic our students are and how much impact the university can have on the local community and beyond.”
 
Admission to the Graduate Student Research and Scholarship Symposium is free of charge and open to the public.
 
Refreshments will be served.
 
Prior to the start of this year’s Graduate Student Research and Scholarship Symposium, the Graduate School will host a Graduate Assistant of the Year awards ceremony at 3 p.m. in the University Center Cypress Room. VSU faculty, staff, and administrators have nominated 18 graduate students for this annual honor.
