Tuesday, March 5th, 2019
Each year, the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council invites students to submit proposals that represent excellent undergraduate work.
The Friday evening reception will be held at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, and our keynote speaker is Dr. Jake Newsome, manager of College Student Leadership Initiatives at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (https://www.ushmm.org/) in Washington D.C. Dr. Newsome is an alumnus of VSU and the Honors Program and has been an ongoing supporter of Honors education and social justice issues. His presentation connects to the conference theme of Building Communities.
Saturday events will be held on the Valdosta State University main campus with our award ceremony and luncheon in the VSU Student Union Ballrooms.
The Georgia Collegiate Honors Council is committed to the promotion and advancement of honors education in institutions of higher learning in the state.
