South Georgia Film Festival Announces Schedule

With so many visiting filmmakers, media professionals and aspiring amateurs, we are excited to share with you this year's schedule for the South Georgia Film Festival, March 2, 3 & 4 on the campus of Valdosta State University.
We see our second annual event as a bridge to the growing film industry across the state of Georgia.
Friday, March 2, we kick off the festival with a media networking event amongst our recently renovated television studios in the VSU Mass Media Building,followed by screening of films in our Open category.
Friday evening the Turner Center for the Arts will be hosting a reception with filmmakers Brantly & Jon Watts before screening their separate films - BIRTHDAY CAKE & MATTHEW'S GIFT.
The majority of films will screen on Saturday, March 3, along with panels from industry professionals.
At 1 pm, we will host the Georgia premiere of the documentary RODENTS OF UNUSUAL SIZEwith director Jeff Springer.
Saturday night will be capped off with a screening of THE 12 LIVES OF SISSY CARLYLE with director Fran Burst Terranella and an after-party at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center.
Awards will be announced on Sunday, March 4, when the winners films will be re-screened. Winners will receive the South Georgia Film trophy along with day passes to Wild Adventures theme park.
