Nov. 7 | Voting Day is Today
On Tuesday, Nov. 7, residents can vote in the General Election at their assigned polling locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit the My Voter Page, at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov, hosted by the Georgia Secretary of State, to learn where your specific precinct is located or contact the Board of Elections at 229-671-2850.

Nov. 7 | Valdosta-Lowndes County Zoning Board of Appeals Meets
The Valdosta-Lowndes County Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the City Hall Annex, Multi-Purpose Room, located at 300 N. Lee Street. See city calendar.

Nov. 7 | City Council Meets for Work Session
The Valdosta City Council will meet for a work session on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m., on the second floor of the Valdosta City Hall Council Chambers, located at 216 E. Central Avenue. The meeting is open to the general public. See city calendar.

Nov. 8 | Airport Authority Meets
The Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., at the Airport Conference Room, located at 1750 Airport Road. See city calendar.

Nov. 9 | Valdosta Youth Council Meets
The Valdosta Youth Council will hold its regularly-scheduled meeting, on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers of Valdosta City Hall, located at 216 E. Central Avenue, and is open to the general public. Follow this group of youth leaders on their VYC Facebook page.

The Valdosta City Council will meet on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 5:30 p.m., on the second floor of the Valdosta City Hall Council Chambers, located at 216 E. Central Avenue. The meeting is open to the general public.  See city council agenda.
 
Nov. 10 | Veterans’ Day Event
The city encourages residents to attend the community Veterans’ appreciation event, at the Bazemore-Hyder Stadium on Friday, Nov. 10. at 10 a.m. Show your appreciation for the 18.5 million veterans in our country by wearing patriotic colors on Friday and by attending this community event.
 
Nov. 11 | Farm Days
Get fresh, local produce and other locally-made products at the popular Downtown Valdosta Farm Days this Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. The popular event takes place in the 100 block of E. Valley Street, located behind the historic courthouse in downtown Valdosta. See city calendar.

Nov. 11 | VFD Hosts Fire Firefighters Ball
The Valdosta Fire Department is hosting the Second Annual Firefighters Ball on Saturday, Nov.11, 2017, from 7 to 10 p.m., at the James H. Rainwater Conference Center, located at 1 Meeting Place in Valdosta. The night of food and fun will raise awareness and funds for the work of Pink Heals Valdosta/South Georgia, a local VFD initiative that provides care to citizens in a variety of ways. Read more.
