Sept. 7 | Valdosta City Council Meeting CANCELED
The Valdosta City Council meeting, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7, at 5:30 p.m., has been canceled. The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21.
Sept. 9 | Farm Days Returns
The Farm Days market will reopen again from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday, every month from Sept. 9 until Nov. 25. The market is located on the 100 block of E. Valley Street, located behind the historic courthouse in downtown Valdosta. EBT, credit and debit cards are accepted.
Sept. 9 | Plein Air Art Competition
Downtown Valdosta Farm Days is about to become a little more colorful with a new competition called Plein Air Art. Artists are invited to attend the competition at the Farm Days market on Sept. 9, Oct. 28, and Nov. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., located on Valley Street behind the historic courthouse. This event is free for all artists, but they must bring all paint supplies including an easel and work surface. Call 229-259-3577 for details on how you can win $100.
