The Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at 103 Roosevelt Drive. The Valdosta Fire Department Citizens Fire Academy continues on Sept. 19 for citizens enrolled in the nine-week program. This week's session will focus on department and emergency communication. The Citizens Fire Academy is designed to give a behind-the-scenes look into one of the top ISO-rated fire departments in the state.
