Shari Irick, RN with South Georgia Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, has received national certification as a certified cardiac rehabilitation professional by passing the CCRP examination.
The CCRP exam is an objective examination consisting of 140 questions that ensure competence and current knowledge with the ever-changing aspects of cardiac care. To be eligible to sit for the exam, candidates must have 1,200 clinical hours in cardiac rehabilitation or secondary prevention and a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in a health-related field.
Earning CCRP credentials means the individual possesses the standard of knowledge and skills that reflect evidence-based minimum qualifications to deliver quality patient care outcomes in cardiac rehab/secondary prevention.
