Middle and high school students can now apply to attend Valdosta’s first ever Young Entrepreneur Academy class.

YEA! is a weekly program that will be held throughout the 2017-2018 academic year and will guide students through launching and running their own businesses.

YEA! is open to all students in grades 6-12. While in the Academy, students will receive all the necessary tools to launch real, legal businesses. This includes access to experts such as attorneys, accountants, business mentors and graphic designers. Students will also have an audience with investors for start-up funding, and the opportunity to compete for college scholarships.

More information about YEA! Valdosta and applications can be found online at http://www.valdostachamber.com/programs. Applications must be submitted by August 18, 2017. The selection process is competitive.

YEA! classes will be held at Valdosta State University from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Tuesdays from September 2017 to May 2018.
