The deadline for participating in the annual Valdosta People's Choice Photo Contest is today by 5 p.m. No professional skills, special equipment or fees are required to enter. May 31 | Red Cross Centennial Blood Drive
The American Red Cross will host its centennial blood drive on Wednesday, May 31, from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., at Mathis Auditorium, located at 2300 N. Ashley Street.
June 1 | Official Start of Hurricane Season
Hurricane Season traditionally runs June 1 through Nov. 30 each year. Now is a good opportunity to brush up on hurricane awareness and preparedness and to learn how to take potentially life-saving action.
