April 11-14 | Downtown Valdosta Easter Egg Hunt
Valdosta Main Street will host a fun twist on the traditional Easter Egg Hunt in downtown Valdosta, Monday, April 10- Friday, April 14. One egg will be hidden downtown daily containing $50 in Downtown Dollars. Hints to the location of eggs will be posted at 10 a.m. each day on the participating merchants Facebook & Instagram accounts. When found, eggs should be taken to Elli's Boutique to redeem prize. April 13 | Citizen's Police Academy Begins
The Valdosta Citizen’s Police Academy will begin on Thursday, April 13 and will run for 10 weeks. The academy, held twice a year, provides citizens with a better understanding of police functions, policies, and what an officer experiences on a day-to-day basis. April 14 | Valdosta Sanitation Schedule for Good Friday
The City of Valdosta will be closed on Friday, April 14, in observance of Good Friday holiday. The Sanitation Division will collect residential garbage only on Good Friday. Citizens should place their recyclables and yard waste at the curbside by 5 a.m. on Monday, April 17 for both Friday and Monday pickups. Read more or call the Public Works Department at 229-259-3590.
