GDOL to Help Oil Dri Recruit Workers in Thomas County Next Week

The Georgia Department of Labor will help Oil Dri Corporation of Georgia, a mining and manufacturing company, fill about a dozen jobs at its facility in Ochlocknee in Thomas County. The company manufactures products from sorbent minerals.

The recruitment will be held Wednesday, April 19, from 8-11 a.m. at the company’s facility located at 28990 Georgia Highway 3 North. GDOL personnel will be on site to assist the job seekers.

The company is recruiting industrial electricians, quality control technicians, packaging operators, processing operators, warehouse personnel and other production workers.

Due to U.S. Mining Safety and Health Administration regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. Applicants with at least two years of experience in their field within the last five years are preferred.

Salaries range from $12.10 an hour for the production workers to $23.15 an hour for industrial electricians.
