AT&T Donates $3000 to Wiregrass Foundation South

The Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation South recently received a gift of $3,000 from AT&T to support ongoing workforce education at the College. AT&T is a longstanding supporter of technical education and students have benefitted greatly from AT&T’s donations over the years.
Courtney Brinson, Regional Director of External Affairs at AT&T, presented the gift to Dr. Tina Anderson, President of Wiregrass, and Dr. Penelope Schmidt, Executive Director for Wiregrass Foundation South. Brinson said, “AT&T recognizes the importance of technical education to our community and to the work force. AT&T is committed to advancing education, strengthening communities and improving lives. Supporting education has been a major focus for AT&T for more than a century, and education is our key philanthropy focus. We are driven to help students succeed—in school, in the workplace and in life. We are proud to be able to make this donation and commend Wiregrass Georgia Technical College for the great job they do in serving this area’s educational and career training needs.”
The donation from AT&T is will be used to assist students with books, supplies and other much-needed educational expenses to help them with the resources needed to complete their education. The students, Foundation trustees, and College faculty and staff are greatly appreciative of AT&T’s continued generosity.
