Toni Quimby named Director of Quality Improvement/Patient Safety Department at SGMC

Toni Quimby has taken the position as Director of Quality Improvement/Patient Safety at South Georgia Medical Center.

Quimby holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Valdosta State University. She has been employed at SGMC for over 15 years, beginning in 2000 as a night shift RN in MSICU.

Over the past two years, Quimby worked in the Quality Department as a Quality Improvement Specialist for SGMC, its campuses and affiliates.

As a director of Quality Improvements, Quimby will be responsible for oversight of the Crimson software, core measure submissions to Joint Commission and CMS, validation and accuracy of the data collection, development of the electronic quality measures recently mandated by CMS, budgeting and maintaining regulatory compliance. Quimby will also serve as the Life Link Coordinator.
